Today Year 6 were invited to join the world famous Hallé Orchestra and play a variety of space themed music to celebrate the first moon landing in 1969.
Here are some photographs of our day…
This week Elephant class worked super hard doing their SATs and amazed Miss Jones with their growth mindset, they should be incredibly proud of themselves! Today we took part in real life sats, completing a quiz, cake decorating, rounders & even a bin bag fashion show. Mrs Sainsbury also treated us with a visit from the ice cream van. We’ve had a brilliant day 🙂
At Brookhill Leys we have been lucky enough to receive trees to mark the Queen’s commitment to the commonwealth. Each class has been given their own tree to plant.
Today we got to try an exciting new sport – fencing! We loved learning the language that is used during fencing matches and played lots of games, we all had a brilliant time trying something new 😊
We have loved our topic this half term all about discrimination! We have written inspiring speeches (which you can view on previous posts), created placards and even took part in a protest about equality. To show our fantastic work this half term, we had a showcase in the hall and were amazed by the number of visitors who came to see our work! Thank you so much for coming and we hope you enjoyed seeing what we have learnt about this half term.
